Tuesday, March 13th; 10:00 a.m. Diabetes 101 - presented by Melissa Wade, RN with St. Bernards Diabetes Management Center - to be held at the Center on Aging-NE, 303 E . Matthews in Jonesboro.
A diabetes expert will look at symptoms, treatment options and how to manage your diabetes.
Wednesdays and Fridays', April 4th through 27th; 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. A Matter of Balance - to be presented at St. Bernards Senior Life Center, 700 E. Washington, Jonesboro.
A Matter of Balance stresses practical solutions to reduce the fear of falls. Participants learn to look at falls as controllable and seek to increase activity through exercise and lifestyle changes. Classes meet twice a week for four weeks. Registration is required.
Wednesday, May 9th; 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. A Journey to Diabetes Control: presented by Melissa Wade, RN, with St. Bernards Diabetes Management Center and Amanda McMillon, APN, with St. Bernards Medical Center - to be held at the Paragould Community Center at 3404 Linwood Drive in Paragould.
Topics include: "Avoidig Compliations of Diabetes," and " Diabetes Treatment Options." The Crowley’s Ridge Rural Health Coalition will give free A1c checks beginning at 9:00 a.m. for those already diagnosed with diabetes. Co-sponsored by Greene County Cooperative Extension Service
