Geriatric educational programs are provided by the Center on Aging-Northeast for area health care professionals and students with the goal of improving quality care.
Wednesday, September 10th; 11:45 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. New Ideas for Pressure Ulcer Reduction and Treatment - presented by Tami Holloway, RN, BSN, WCC, Director, Wound Healing Center, White River Medical Center - to be held at the White River Medical Center, 1710 Harrison St., in Batesville.
Attendees will recognize the importance of the initial assessment as well as reassessment of pressure ulcers concerning the new CMS Present on Admissions Indicators. Learn to apply appropriate pressure ulcer intervention and treatment options. Lunch provided - RSVP required. Attendees will receive 2 hours of nursing CNE. LTC and Pharmacy credit also available.
Friday, September 12th; 7:30 - 9:00 a.m. Indentification and Management of Delirium in Older Adults - presented by Larry Johnson, M.D., Ph.D. - to be held at White County Medical Center, Hubach Center, 3214 E. Race in Searcy.
The program will enable you to access, prevent and manage delirium. Breakfast provided at 7:30 a.m. courtesy of WCMC. Pre-registration required. Attendees will receive 1 hour of nursing CNE. LTC and Pharmacy credit also available.
